I meant to post this earlier. It's a good read.

As far as "who's Spose?"....I have no idea but that's kinda the point of the article. You seriously expect to get an honest look into the biz from a well known rapper? Why, so they can get black balled? :heh:

He had a regional hit, he's from Maine and apparently his song was popular in the Midwest. This is a big enough country for some things to happen without us knowing about it. :manny:

He had a hit 3 years ago. Video got 10 million views on Youtube, somebody was checking for his shyt.

Regardless, not sure what this has to do with the validity of what he's saying.

After reading it sounds like he was an underground rapper that got a song popping locally and couldn't make another song that was "mass appealing" once he got in the system. His story is very familiar but there's plenty of people who get songs placed left & right without much alteration whereas this guy seemed to not have the "ear candy" they were looking for...

    Very common... :manny:

Sometimes it seems to me that a lot of people who post on here identify more with the major labels than the artists or the music.

I think the problem with these artists who sign to Majors is they forget its a "business"... :ld:

There's no way to know that. Everyone from Prince to Lupe has been approached about changing their music/image/whatever in the last 20+ years. I guarantee people were doing the same shyt during the 60's and 70's as well.
