as opposed to what religious people claim :deadjay:It was pulled out of his a$$ just like most stuff atheists claim
Churches seem to be pretty efficient.I would say this exist because 90% of the places offering help are Bible based.
What do you guys say?
How about we start taxing these extremely inefficient "non-profits" and fire all the "analysts"
Interesting since libraries are essentially homeless shelters during the day for many living on the streets.Well, if you tax non-profits, you'd have to get rid of libraries, UNICEF, ASPCA, the Museum of Natural History, the Veteran's Administration, and another 100-150 organizations since they rely on donations + Gov't. subsidies to exist.
Not to mention, the holes left by the eradication of these programs would have to be filled by the Federal/Local Gov't.s which would increase your tax burden by about 300% or more.

All those organizations could still exist they would just have to become more efficient in what they do. That's the problem now, a lot of these programs don't give a fucc because they get free $$$
god is the original absentee landlord
this fakkit created the universe and everything in it, but cant be bothered to snap his fingers and get rid of cancer :deadjay: some god
well, i agree with all that someone should tell the 99 percent of christians who think he's listening to their bedtime wish listThere is no meaning if he just does that....That would be more like the Greek Gods
The Christian God is much more aloof - He already gave the instructions and set boundaries. The problem is his communication style is non-existent. Unlike the Greek Gods there is no feedback with YWVH (Yahweh) it is a one sided discussion. My theory is that one of the only ways to get "blessed" is to strive harder to improve your integrity and work smarter and harder when applicable. Other than that there is not much else you can do and prayer means absolutely nothing, at least compared to meditation for the purposes of spiritual cleansing.
