about a thousand a year. it seems like money well spent, like insurance. like the union would get you a lawyer if some shythead kid acted up, etc. then again, some people resent having to pay it
So nikkas complain bout $80 a month, which is $20 a week, to keep their jobs safe and fight for higher wages for them? :jbhmm:

And Capital doesn't?:mjlol:

People are mad when the working man is fighting fire with fire.:russ:

It's their job. You don't do another man's job. And I wanna see reflective belts, high visibility jackets, and hardhats on everybody. Two fifteen minute breaks, coffee provided, and frankly we'll get the job done tomorrow unless Henry takes vacation early, in which case we're looking at February.

Of course, the process could be expedited, for a small fee.
Every business owner isnt some super rich millionaire though...
...most people in business are struggling to make it.

Having to deal w/ unions makes it even harder to do your thing...and gives corporations another leg up because the average Joe cant deal w/ all that shyt.

I know, I don't think small companies are compatible with unionization. They just don't have the resources.

But people are working robot hours for Amazon now and wondering why their wages are rock bottom and they get zero benefits.

Propaganda.
You know how long big businesses have been trying to run a campaign against Unions?
Rosie-the-Riveter was anti-union propaganda?

Unions undermine the management's ability to exploit workers.
Unions are well-connected with the working-class Left, Socialism, the Chicano Movement, the Civil Rights Movement, the Soviet Union, and second-wave feminists, which is enough for them to be well-demonised.

Then you have abominations like the police union, which has long since been used to undermine other movement and union activity, as well as bolster the mass-incarceration system.

Because they operate like a mafia to some extent. Look, I'm in a union, and collective bargaining is great for the average worker; it protects wages, provides benefits and provides job security...

But the NYT's did a great editorial on this a few days ago....

This basically breaks it down using the the construction of a subway track in NY

And to paraphrase...Unions make political contributions to the NYS governor....that governor then opens up bidding to those specific contributors (usually exclusive to the highest donors) for State contracts...once that union gets the contract for a project, they inflate the costs by 4x the amount....and then you end up with construction projects that were originally estimated to be 2.5 billion and are now 12 billion while taking twice as long to complete the project...and this is pretty much standard practice all over the city and state....

The Most Expensive Mile of Subway Track on Earth
Most Unions don't share this level of middle-of-the-road corruption.
But this would be a shining example of the kind of story that, reverberating across conservative airwaves, would be the poster child of union ineptness across the US.
