give it time. bellator use to get the ufc has beens, now theyre getting midcard guys like rory. its only a matter of time till the super stars follow
breh scott coker had more stars when he had strikeforce during the mma boom and they still got trounced. they are gonna keep giving these guys big paydays and make no money during events because nobody watches the product. meltzer is saying they did 95k at there last ppv and before that 100k or less with former ufc stars tito and rampage on the card...scott coker said they needed 300k for it to be a success and they got no where near that.....shyt their best cards barely pull in better ratings than cops yet they are signing more and more expensive guys every day just to stack a card and make every other one weaker

Bellator's Coker: 'This is the best MMA PPV that's been offered in 2017'

"The PPV will also receive a massive marketing push, unlike anything in Bellator history.

According to Coker, Viacom -- the media conglomerate that owns Bellator and Spike TV -- has invested a multimillion-dollar off-channel marketing strategy to be rolled out this month.

The overall financial investment will be "20 to 30 times more" than anything Viacom has put into Coker's previous "tent pole" events. Obviously, that comes with certain expectations on how it will perform.

"When you say expectations, it's something I think we're going to feel," Coker said. "To me, any [buy rate] in the mid-200,000s would be respectable. And anything in the 300,000s would be considered a big hit."

Estimated PPV numbers are in for UFC 213, Bellator NYC

Meltzer

BELLATOR: Regarding the 6/24 PPV show, the estimates have ranged from 90,000 to 135,000, although the best source pegged it at 95,000 in the U.S., which would be well under the 200,000 prediction of Scott Coker.

if you can see above they got no where near their goal and two of their golden boys got finished in their fights on that card also... both of whom are very expensive...shyt fedor alone is expensive af and his demands per fight have always been ridiculous yet coker keeps signing the guy and he keeps getting beat......

and for ratings go the fight that killed kimbo slice and killed dada 5000 is the highest rated 1.9 mil or so and tito ortiz has two other the other best ratings...all of those fights were tent pole fights and they sucked and hurt the ratings and depth for the next tv events which btw barely get 700k ratings per show..

Bjorn rebney was fired shortly after the first ppv after Viacom bought them out. They put nowhere near as much money into that show as this one.. marketing, promo and fighters pay and etc..no way they will be around too much longer doing what they are doing.

mma is on the come up. Ive been watching since ufc1and it has many more casuals then before and theres a ton of mma organizations and mma gyms are popping up everywhere. Theres a ton more fighters in each league to. UFC is just the WWE right now. People think to be successful you have to go to the UFC, well Bellator is building and can offer these guys the same money UFC offers. Dana keeps gyping these guys theyll jump ship. Bellator is like WCW early on so hopfully one day we'll get our fight night wars similar to the monday night wars

negative... bellator will be out of business in a year a two for all the reasons I posted above if they keep this up...it's already going down the strikeforce path by bringing in fedor and overpaying him once again...we are reliving the past damn near...Nobody watches bellator for a reason..the commentators suck the production is bush league and everything feels second tier..but put all that to the side for a second..most mma fighters get paid on the main card of a ppv...bellator has shown twice they can't get people to pay up for that let alone even watch it on tv outside of a tent pole event.. UFC is going to let guys go and when bellator folds just like strike force they pick the bones.. or hold grudges and never sign those guys ever again...bellator been building for years now it's not new it's not a upstart and it's been stagnant for years.. same ratings for tv same ratings for tent poles except kimbo is dead now and they can't pull that card anymore and every star they want to build gets knocked out in the first round...
