Even without co-opted Black leadership, look at how many Black leaders in the US, Latin America, and Africa were killed, exiled, or had their lives destroyed during the 1960s and 1970s. A lot of folk are too scared or discouraged to go there again. Talk to most of the old cats from the 60s and many will say "don't be radical" because they know how the US internal security state deals with such people. Unless you are on some hardcore Blofeld shyt and can't be tracked, they will try to destroy you first by character, then psychologically, and all else fails, you die. And sadly, history says more often than not they are successful.
