:whoa:
Now I know the coli is full of ballers who wouldnt be caught dead in this car,
but Im a youngin so let me get a pass.

I've been looking to cop another ride and a friend of a friend is selling an 03 SS for the lowski with decent mileage, now I know they say avoid domestics but I've always been a lowkey sucker for these. The stars seemed to have aligned for me :obama:

Any personal experience with these?
Known problems/recalls?
Anything significant regarding maintenance?
Opinions in general?

I had a ss but I sold it. They are horrible on tires on the front end and the 06 I had, had a water pump problem. The tired monitor system went out on that shyt but that's not really that big. The power steering fluid always leaked out too but they had a recall on that so I got it fixed for free.

Overall, it was a decent car. I drove my shyt for about 2 years before I garaged it and upgraded. They also drive hella smooth too... We had a lil Monte Carlo crew out here in Decatur and the hoes still like em honestly.

How old are you my brotha?

Yeah I was your age when I copped my shyt. Man whatever you do don't go get a note on one of those shyts. I see too many people getting them and being upside down on the worth of the car. They are still semi hot in Atlanta so nikkas out here over paying for those hoes. Go for it though homie, if you find one for the right price with low miles.

I used to work at a transmission shop doing R&R, and I can honestly say that throughout my time there I have never seen these cars on our lifts. (which is a very good thing since we did general repair as well)

I'd say go for it. As for the people here some are obviously doing better than others in the car department, but we all start somewhere.

I saved up like $1500 for this 87 Acura legend coupe with 200k miles. I loved that car and babied it like it was a Benz :russ:

I wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft pole. Those 01-05 monte carlos are known to have radiator and cooling issues especially the SS versions. If you do get one just make sure you have a good domestic mechanic you can take it to.
