Wish I would've put in more at the beginning but happy with my gains so far and fact I got in when I did so I could collect all the rewards and buy more along the way.

here’s some quick/rough maths to prove my point to an extent using BTC and NEO since they are both mentioned/used as examples…

$4000 invested in BTC at the top of 2017 ($1000) would be worth over $250k now

$4000 invested in NEO at the top of 2017 ($0.20) would be worth close to $1M now

but if you bought that same $4000 worth of NEO at the top of 2017 and flipped it into BTC at the end of that year then kept it, that BTC would now be worth over $10M…and that’s a move that many ppl smarter/more experienced than me made…they make money during alt season (usually the year after the halvening)…try to cash out as close to the top (at the end of the same year) and flip profits into BTC…rinse and repeat

none of these scenarios is “wrong”…it’s all good money at the end of the day…some just require more risks and calculations than others but the reward(s) for doing so is obviously more substantial

to be fair tho and to paint a more full picture…I will say the one “safe” thing about BTC is you can buy it at any point and still feel confident you’ll come out ahead with patience…case in point if you fukk up and buy BTC at the top of a run, you’ll “lose” money when it dips but there is a very solid chance you’ll make that money back and then some in the long run…you can experience that with some alts but with many you can be screwed if you buy at the top as more often than not they will not recover over the course of several years

case in point someone who bought BTC at the end of 2017 ($20k) would still be up more than 3x…and someone who bought NEO around that same time ($180) would be down pretty bad…it depends on the alts tho as there are some that would be up big now like LINK that was at $1 at the end of 2017…so you’d still be up almost 30x

there were actually some who believed the bold at the time…I’ve always tempered my expectations tho…I got in late at either $8 or $13 and sold at $31…I used the profit and flipped it into an ICO which led to my first big score…I honestly haven’t followed up on NEO since and can’t speak to its status…it was china’s golden boy at one point and referred to as the “chinese ethereum”…don’t know why it seemingly fell off…ironically there’s a non-crypto company named NIO billed as the “chinese tesla”…I made some money off it last year and left it alone…their gov’t seems to be fickle with how they support some of their companies…it’s possible that it could go off again during the bull run…I just don’t know enough about it currently to properly speculate

Think 100k holders definitely doable before this month even ends.

I just signed up to Gate as my primary now, as I had to move off Binance. So far, easy process. Initial deposit via e-transfer was accepted and posted within the hour. I failed the KYC verification though as I forgot to include my gateio account on a piece of paper in the selfie photo. But the response time was within 12 hours or so and it would have been good otherwise.

Interface so far is also good.

I would say unlikely. Generally old coins get lost in the shuffle on the next cycle unless they really have something groundbreaking coming up. Im still holding some bags from last cycle that aren't nearly as popular anymore. For alts everything is about hype so it's usually about the new coins with new promises

I have no idea how some of these old coins are still in business when they either lost all buzz or haven't adapted with the market. The ones on Binance and high volume exchanges will always stick around I guess. Even XVG has 22 million in volume and they haven't had any news since linking with Pornhub.
