Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis will start the journey to becoming a two-weight World champion with a final eliminator for the WBA World Super-Welterweight title against IBO champion Uisma Lima on Saturday October 11 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, live worldwide on DAZN. Ennis (34-0 30 KOs) recently made the decision to move up in weight following his stunning win over Eimantas Stanionis in a Welterweight unification clash in Atlantic City in April, forcing the WBA champion to quit on his stool after six punishing rounds of action. ‘Boots’, who penned a long-term multi-fight extension to his promotional deal with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom in July, begins his assault on the 154lb division in what will be his third headline turn at Wells Fargo in his beloved hometown since teaming up with Hearn, and does so against a dangerous foe. Lima (14-1 10 KOs) landed the IBO title at Super-Welterweight in December against Sukhdeep Singh Bhatti in Canada, and defended the strap for the first time against Shervantaigh Koopman in South Africa in April, and the well-traveled Angolan enters the lion’s den once against against Ennis, in the 32 year old’s first bout in the United States. Khalil Coe and Jesse Hart will clash as the co-main event at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia on Saturday October 11, live worldwide on DAZN on a card topped by Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis’ debut at 154lbs where he meets Uisma Lima in a final eliminator for the WBA World Super-Welterweight title. TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW FROM TICKETMASTER.COM AND EVENTS365.COM Coe (10-1-1 8 KOs) recorded the best win of his career in his last outing, righting a wrong in a rematch with Manuel Gallegos in May, stopping the Mexican in Guadalajara after Gallegos stunned Coe in the venue, he meets Hart in back in November. ‘Big Steppa’ reclaimed the USWBC title with that win, and now the 28 year old steps up once again to face the toughest test of his career to date. Hart (31-3 25 KOs) welcomes Coe to his hometown where the 36 year old will be looking to add the rising New Jersey star to his impressive CV. ‘Hard Work’ has won three on the spin inside the distance since returning to the ring in August 2023, and the former two-time World Super-Middleweight title challenger can get back into the conversation for the big bouts at 175lbs by defeating Coe on his home patch. Alexis Barriere will fight for his first pro title in Philadelphia, as he takes on Guido Vianello for the WBC Continental Americas Heavyweight title. Barriere (12-0 10 KOs) made it three wins in a row inside the distance in his last outing, forcing Ubaldo Resendiz to retire after six rounds in his Quebec backyard. The Canadian is eager to rise up the rankings in the ever-changing Heavyweight division, but Vianello (13-3-1 11 KOs) will have other ideas. The Las Vegas-based Italian will be eyeing a return to big-time bouts himself with the clash, having taking American talent Richard Torres Jr. the distance last time out, the 31 year old will want to prove he’s still got the goods to mix it at the top level. Jose Roman will defend his WBA Continental North America Welterweight title against Tahmir Smalls. Roman (14-1 6 KOs) ripped the title from Jalil Hackett in Puerto Rico in December, and defends for the first time in Philadelphia, after a rematch with Hackett had to be pulled at the 11th hour after Hackett suffered an ankle injury in fight week in Orlando in March. Smalls (15-0 11 KOs) fights for his first title in his first bout over ten rounds and does so on the undercard of his gym mate and now promotional stablemate, Ennis. The 26 year old featured on Boots’ last bill in Atlantic City in April, producing a first round stoppage win before making it three wins inside the distance on the trot in June on his Philly home soil. Zaquin Moses (4-0 3 KOs) will kick-off the main card on DAZN over six rounds at Super-Featherweight against Antonio Dunton El Jr. (6-4-2 2 KOs), Giorgio Visioli (8-0 6 KO’s) will make his US debut on the card, taking on James Wilkins (13-3 6 KOs) over eight rounds at Super-Featherweight at the top of the prelim bouts, which also feature Lightweight Harley Mederos (8-0 7 KOs), Super-Bantamweight Dennis Thompson (7-0 5 KOs) and Lightweight Justin Palmieri (5-0 3 KOs) all in six round action.
