Tyson Fury's father, John Fury, is giving a firm warning that Deontay Wilder's career may come to an end in the upcoming trilogy fight.

Fury will defend the WBC heavyweight title against Wilder on October 9th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

They were initially going to fight on July 24, with the event being pushed back after Fury came up positive for COVID-19.

In the February 2020 rematch, Fury dominated the action and stopped Wilder in seven rounds to capture the WBC title.

The first contest, in December 2018, ended in a controversial twelve round split draw.

John Fury believes the trilogy fight could be much worse.

He feels Wilder selected Fury twice as a cherry-pick opponent - with the script not playing out as planned.

"Like Tyson got cherry-picked with Deontay Wilder twice. Because if they never saw Tyson's eye hanging off against Otto Wallin, a terrible performance, they wouldn't have wanted the second fight. But they saw the Otto Wallin fight and thought, 'Yup, Wilder can't lose. Wilder will chin him.' They cherry-picked him the first time thinking, 'He's been out of the ring for years, he's been abusing himself. We can't lose.' But every time Tyson, when he's in that ring, he changes his full job," John Fury told Boxing Social.

"He can look terrible in a training camp, but when he gets in that ring, he's a different man, different animal. And they got it wrong twice. And they'll get it wrong the third time. But the third time will cost him his career and his life, probably. If he's not dead, he'll be an invalid, which is a silly man. But if they want to sell their soul and put their life on the line for money, which I'm sure they will, get on with it."

Wilder got manhandled last time because Fury was bigger than him, 51 pounds heavier. He lifting the weights to keep Fury from bullying him again. Wilder going back to his football days.
He needs to cut this benching shyt out. It's one thing if he was doing it properly. But he is not. Hes going to fukk himself up with what he is doing

The undercard sold the event to me, seen Fury vs Wilder a couple of times so was hoping both would move on to different opponents so wasn’t excited about it but the undercard made me wanna watch the event and excited, Ajagba vs Sanchez is interesting as both are viewed as having a future in the division so that fight will be revealing, plus Helenius vs Kownacki 2 is interesting cause of what happened in the first fight.
