How would you change it? In soccer the games are their own thing. But the grind is part of the story. Being able to manage the workload of so many games is part of the cost of competing for multiple trophies.
I know they won't do it, but my first thought is just have the Cup Final on or right before Allstar weekend. That would potentially mean star players sitting out their AllStar appearance for rest, but if you want to have exhibitions in the middle of a regular season, deal with the consequences.

I'd also be cool with expanding rosters for the Cup games, and making every game an exhibition that won't hurt regular season standings. That could encourage teams to experiment with young prospects instead of stacking more exhaustion on their go-to players. I've seen teams like Arsenal rest players and use reserves to compete in certain tournaments as a way to keep the key guys fresh for things like the Champion's League. That's not really possible if the wins/losses could effect your playoff position.

Agreed. The move is probably lower the regular season by 10 games and make the NBA cup a standalone. This way the stats can be their own thing as well.

2 seasons and 2 coaches for Kat and Brunson.

It don’t work. Rip the band aid off now

Right on the money. Can't have your point guard and main big as your worst defenders.

Offensively, I've heard this saying in a different space, " it's like they play offense in spite of each other". These two are ill fitting and it shows whenever we play a legit squad.

Is Giannis the solution, though? Defensively yes, obviously, but I'm skeptical that the offense won't create another set of problems.

Brunson got the most votes out of all American born players...

He's the real Captain America :wow:
:salute:

Makes me wonder, obviously, if Tatum were healthy, he'd be number one. But would Haliburton have more All-Star votes than Brunson, too? Let's say in this hypothetical, they have the same record this season, too.

A huge issue is KAT doesn't have good basketball chemistry with anyone on the team, especially Brunson. Which is concerning because all great NBA teams have good chemistry, especially if you want to win a championship. KAT will be 4-9 with 11 points one game and 15-27 with 35 points the next, and there's no consistency because there's no chemistry.

KAT needs to come to practice in a Villanova jersey or something.

This is year two. After a deep playoff run. Continuity should have been a strength.

Think Brunson has proved over the course of his career, whether he's playing with Luka, Julius Randle, RJ Barret, KAT....no matter who is next him as the other ball dominant player he's still going to get his, and more often than not he's going to be efficient while doing so.

This has been a frustrating thing for me as a viewer for the last 3 seasons really. I’m always looking at the shot clock when they bring the ball across half court, and definitely been looking to see if it changed with Mike Brown.

Yes, it’s become an issue again lately. They even caught an 8-second violation the other day in the loss against ATL.
