When Comeback Season first dropped he was definitely not "the hottest rapper on the internet" ... That's some revisionist history... It was largely slept on when it first dropped...I remember someone posted it on 
and it literally only had like three responses.. now afterwards he started to heat up with some loose freestyles that started gaining blog buzz.. then the OG version of Forever with Wayne and Kidd Kidd, Stunt Hard and Ransom dropped... Then Comeback Season got revisited and that's when it made it's big impact, on the double back tip damn near a year later, the flopped thread for the tape blew up.. Then random complilation mixtapes started dropping with a lot of comeback season tracks and by the time So Far Gone he was legitimately on fire

Dope project and lowkey one of his more lyrical ones. Some of the lines on there were .
Wouldn't call it a classic since most don't even know it exists outside of "Replacement Girl" and "Closer to My Dreams". That honor belongs to So Far Gone. Favorite songs on there would be "The Presentation", "Comeback Season" and "The Last Hope". Big step up from Room for Improvement, a project I've never seen Drizzy acknowledge.
We're blessed to have seen how his whole story unfolded from the get-go. I'd recommend anyone listen to his discog from beginning to end. You'll appreciate him more.

@mobbinfms On Drake's first tape which came in VERY early 06 he had it hosted by DJ Smallz (who had hosted Jeezy and Wayne tapes before) , he was getting buzz off the fact he played a nikka who can rap in the show Degrassi.
