Really was one of the legit shocking moments of the boring PG era.

None of these guys panned out though especially that midget in the red underwear

Dumbasses fired him just because he used Justin’s tie to choke him a bit. Like usual they botched this whole thing, Barrett could’ve been a superstar had they not been so protective of Cena.

I forgot to mention that this was like their first real big storyline after coasting on RAW celeb hosts for like a year and DX crap

I was gonna make a thread about this. One of the best storyline starts ever and immediately fumbled.

The other two fumbled stories I always think about is rtruth conspiracy before the gay lil Jimmy shyt and rtruth/miz teaming up.

baffles me that Wade Barrett turned into such a massive bust..I really thought he was the future in WWE and injuries/failed pushes killed the man...is he retired? last i saw he was like a commissioner for WhatCulture Wrestling or some shyt...complete afterthought in the game.


i also thought Tarver and Gabriel had futures....Gabriel seemed like a huge babyface of the future a la Jeff Hard mixed with Bret Hart and Tarver i thought was gonna just be an ill muscle type brawler but none of that happened even slightly.

I was 13 at the time and I had such an adrenaline rush after that happened, I thought I just witnessed my own NWO

Exactly! They had a potential NWO/4 Horseman faction that could be used for years. Imagine if Nexus dominated for a year plus only to get stomped by a returning Lesnar in 2012.

It's very 80's themed like the old NWA shows. Last time I watched it they had Eli Drake, Marty Scurl, Mr.Kennedy/Anderson, James Storm, Homicide, Eddie Kingston.

They had them apologize the NEXT week Raw had nuclear buzz for the first time in years and they nuked the hell out of it. Watching the WWE destroy their own heat in real time was incredible
