I can see it now :ohlawd:

Drake's baby picture on the album picture will become the most recognizable album cover in 10 years by that generation

All the songs will still be played and reminisced on by them on some Black Album/BP sht :ohlawd:

Drake with that classic :wow:

NO...

The internet has created a completely different response to releases, and therefore the atmosphere has a changed...People are talking about albums online...Here in Canada, there is NO atmosphere about this new Drake release...

And this is his home country...

Even the classics of the 90's would be forgotten, if they were released in this current technology driven environment...

One example is this, when you listen to interviews of rappers collaborating in the 90's and today, you can hear the difference between dudes in the 90s saying, "I bumped into MC ill at the Sound Factory, he had 5 hoes with him and smoking blunts, and he laced the track, and I went to get some more weed, when I returned, the whole studio was booming, I got into a zone, and freestyled my whole verse"...

Versus, today's dudes saying " I was touring in Japan, I finished the track, and I thought MC Faggo might sound good on it. I sent him an email, and he emailed me back the next day. That's how that track came about."

No "soul" what so ever...

That's the norm. The late 90s babies ain't on the other shyt, maybe trap music.

no its not.

nothing has changed in that aspect.

it will be remembered by the crowd that just listens to the radio & watches 106th & park faithfully. same with the commercial crowds during my high school tenure that put questionable chit on a pedestal. some of them post here, but I aint gonna say no names.

Drake Stans with these idiotic threads are accomplishing nothing other than making other people in this forum hate Drake. Drake is alright but this over the top love for him is out of hand. It's kinda like if you and your boys are talking about this new action movie that came out and you have that one friend who wont shut up about some romantic comedy. Makes you hate that friend and hate that movie.

the only thing in 2013, that I can guarantee that the young legitimate hip-hop fans will be reminiscing about in 2013 is MMG and whatever local chit theyre heavy into.

and the bamas will put a few of their favorite trappy artists on a pedestal.

and the internet will have Kendrick.

i doubt it. kendrick's control verse made more noise than nwts and nwts is about to have a monster first week sales. by the way the metacritic ratings have dropped from 85 to 80%!!!!!!!!
drake stans cannot be happy that their boy is ruling on the sales front, now they insist that a very good album (not classic)be referred to as a classic as well.
drake got the sales and kendrick got the critical acclaim. just let it go and enjoy the music!!!!!!!

A classic is decided by the realm of time

Something cant be a classic if its still modern music

Example

Juvie's Slow motion is a classic...but I bet u nobody was callin that song a classic while it was out

But as we look back the song becomes such a strong reference to our time back then that when we look back with nostalgia we call it a classic

And I am making the same claim here

NWTS will be the album these guys look back on and call a classic 10 years from now
