The concept is overall terrible imo. They should let me run BET. I would have never greenlit this in the first place.
The show could have worked, this could have been BET's version of SportsCenter

My concept for the show.

Of course have your usual run of the mil mini music video countdown (mainly for the ones that don't know about sports but love music)

Have the show air (live) at around 5:00pm or 6:00pm so you can preview the upcoming games and have sports teams beat writers interview before the games.

Have some type of sports betting app (partnership) tied in with the show (it would make the show more interactive)

Interview athletes that are still currently playing.

Have a weekend edition version of this show so you can cover college football and NFL.

The concept and idea of this show was so easy to nail, but they chose to make this into a gossip podcast type show instead.

That’s a terrible idea in 2026, and it 100% would’ve failed too

This shyt was a podcast produced as a cable show. Terrible idea.

Starting BET’s version of Sportscenter in 2026 is like opening up a Blockbuster in a shopping mall

The actual Sportscenter is a relic of a foregone era…the concept of a nightly sports highlight show has been made outdated by the social media clip model…it’s aired on a dying medium (cable)…and BET is even further in the grave than ESPN because it doesn’t have the crutch of live sports to prop it up…

I don't agree with your take but I can respect it.

As I said before if you would you mixed in some music videos (have live artist performances) of course bring in your Meg The Stallions, Cardi B's J.Cole's (ect) of the current music world on the show you would easily pull in your typical 16-25 demographic.

I'm out of that age demographic, but I would much rather peep a show like that, as opposed to BET running this never-ending showing of Tyler Perry shows, BET has basically turned into the Tyler Perry Network.
