New details from the highly anticipated book are emerging. Including some controversial thoughts about the most progressive President of our life time, Joseph Robinette Biden.

“‘It’s Joe and Jill’s decision.’ We all said that, like a mantra, as if we’d all been hypnotized,” Harris writes in the first excerpt of “107 Days” published Wednesday morning by The Atlantic. “The stakes were simply too high. This wasn’t a choice that should have been left to an individual’s ego, an individual’s ambition. It should have been more than a personal decision.”

“When polls indicated that I was getting more popular, the people around him didn’t like the contrast that was emerging,” Harris writes. “None of them grasped that if I did well, he did well. That given the concerns about his age, my visible success as his vice president was vital. It would serve as a testament to his judgment in choosing me and reassurance that if something happened, the country was in good hands. My success was important for him.”

“His team,” Harris ends the chapter by writing, “didn’t get it.”

Biden sabotaged her but she was never going to win. The worst thing was not giving the voters a choice at all.

I don't think we can say with certainty that she would not have won. If Biden and his staff are sabotaging you, why do you bring so many of them into your campaign?

“They didn't want me to distance myself, so I didn't distance myself” doesn't really absolve her imo.

I read the Tapper joint so ill read this one as well. None of them have topped Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton's Doomed Campaign so far though.

I wonder what her angle is. I think she was cooked politically after losing the election, I don't know that this changes that. Joe Biden can't even count to 15 anymore so I doubt he cares. His supporters and whatever wing of the party he commanded shouldn't matter going forward anyway.
