@chunky_mcdaniels @((ReFleXioN)) EteRNaL @UpAndComing This should settle it. Out of his own mouth. He is not overtly announcing it as fact as to not give away the entire plan but he for sure is trying to get leverage. With that being said I don't see him fighting Opetai. It'll be Zurdo, Bivol, Canelo and beterbiev. Canelo might not happen but I think Bivol and Beterbiev do.

Uh huh, I'll believe it when I see it. "I'm open to going back down" means nothing. It's obvious he said this to buy himself time from 6 months of "he's ducking" talks. He said the exact same thing a year ago when he said he's willing to go back down to 168 for Canelo

“I’m not ducking nobody. Now that we’re at ‘75, I see he just went up to 175 so potentially we could have that fight. The only fight I’m staying around for at 168 is Canelo. I’m done at 168, if it’s not for Canelo I’m not going down to 168 -"

And now in present day he backtracked :unimpressed:

Light Heavyweight to Cruiserweight is the largest weight jumps in the sport, not easy to come back down. Like I said, we shall see. If he doesn't fight Opetaia, Bivol, or Beterbiev after fighting Zurdo, then he's a DUCK and a Clout chaser. Period

I don’t think he’s coming back down, but we shall see.

If he wins, I don’t see the point. He could possibly get those fights at CW anyway.
