Songz wasn't that big during his first two albums. It wasn't until his last chance and 3rd album that he got more recognition (similar to Rihanna's career before she dropped umbrella on her 3rd album release). Many of us who have always been a fan will say trey day (2nd album) is still his best album. Trey cut the braids off got a lil muscle and started singing about sex to continue his successful run in the music industry. He has kind of cooled off but he did have a good run. My personal favorite work from him is anticipation.

Put out nothing but great music and force people to take notice

fukk a budget, single , album etc.

I'm going to feed my hardcore fans and that is going to expand the fanbase because no one will be able to ignore

I think it was right around the time Katrina happened
I was in Nigeria on vacation at the time and this video came on on MTV
Sht instantly made me a fan
