The problem now a days kids feel too entitled to shyt , I'm sure she didn't invest one penny into the phone or the bill , her mother did , just kids now a days have a different perception , but its also my generation to blame as well since us 80s babies are the parents now and most of them are just splurging on their kids instead of instilling morals ...

Maybe I'm too old fashioned and cheap, but there is no way that I would even allow a 12 year old to have an iPhone. I have kids in high school, they have prepaid flip phones that I put minutes on, they can use for emergencies.

If they want iPhones they can get them when they have their own jobs and can pay the bill.

I agree with these. These kids these days are super spoiled. They have a lot handed to them. That is why she was so callous/bold @InDePickWest :mjlol: she didn't even think about who would take care of her or pay the bill. Sigh.

The second attempt still makes me think she is a sociopath :yeshrug:

I agree she may have some mental issues. The newspaper article only tells the sensational part of the story but none of the background info. This mother may have been dealing with this child for years with no help until now. Many times families struggle with mentally ill family members because they have limited resources or knowledge about available resources.

On the other hand it could be bad parenting. This could be just the result of out of control behavior that started around age 2 or 3, and everyone just thought it was 'cute', till it got real serious.

In any case, I do hope that she gets a mental evaluation, and the mother can get some parenting assistance.
