the freeza saga was amazing man, as a kid just for what happens, but when you rewatch there are so many themes that i missed as a kid
like freeza even on the verge of death was so delusional believing in his own inherent superiority that even though he was cut in half and dying he still thought he was superior to Goku.

Lot of ways you can interpret the series. But most just see the blonde hair and interpret it as Japanese wanting to be White.
Not really, go back to Super Mario they been doing "transformation" and forms from way back. I guess turning someone with Black hair and eyes to blonde is the most logical next thing to show contrast or difference.
