If you really think Europeans particularly EU countries can’t afford air conditioning you’re insane OP. There’s definitely environmental and housing infrastructure reasons for this disparity.

Secondly, you can say France GDP is lower than Mississippi but the Quality of life metrics (Education, Healthcare, College attainment, Happiness Index) all favor France regardless if they are poorer.

We have ceiling fans and free standing fans in UK some homes with poorer ventilation may need them.
I know how much ac units are I have a place in Jamaica, where its needed 🏝
