no I make sense.

If you make that much more money you can easily just buy Healthcare, Education etc...
The gov takes your shyt before you even get a shot.

You get sick in Europe and you gotta wait weeks/months to get seen.

Happiness Index you say?

Come again bruv
(who gives af about that goofy shyt anyway...Israel is high on the list...you want to move to Israel!?)

We have ceiling fans and free standing fans in UK some homes with poorer ventilation may need them.
I know how much ac units are I have a place in Jamaica, where its needed 🏝
You say “where its needed” like the number isnt true and 175k dead is “nothing”

There is no reason anyone in europe should be dying over 75 degrees. 6 weeks. 2 weeks. 1 week.

People in Europe love to harp on school shootings online but your 4x more likely to die from heat in europe as being shot in america.

Sometimes I feel like this is meaningless. Sometimes it feels like we get paid in Monopoly money in America.

Your income in America isn't resilient at all. And it's often counteracted by the highest cost for the basics. Both that tech worker and doctor could have a case of cancer or a stroke and instantaneously be bankrupted, never to recover again because healthcare costs are 10 times high. That is not the norm in a place like france.

@Anerdyblackguy is right. We can have the same discussion about the education of both that IT worker and the doctor in relation to the incredibly affordable or free education in France. we can have the same conversation about housing or even basic household goods. We pay among the highest prices for basic things like even internet access

Now look at the different positions that France and the US are on the simple data cost list. And we can keep making lists like this for every single good and service . And it's just expensive for no reason. This is how you keep getting those weird statistics of Americans not being able to save more than $400 or not cover $1,200 emergencies. When you were gouged this much for everything , you can't even save.

Almost every dollar you earn is immediately sent out. And just look at the savings rates between us and france. Because they aren't being gouged they're getting far more out of their money.

By comparison ,Americans get to keep less 4% of what they earn.

we spend more money.

its really that simple.
Bigger cars, houses...
we have more elective surgery and better preventative healthcare.

You can choose to have a simple life in the U.S....make more money and keep more after taxes.

They also drink and smoke more in Europe.

What time off the year, and where in SA?

They are in the Southern Hemisphere, and they do have seasons

Yall do understand, there are certain parts of America where older buildings don't have AC. Cause of the same issues. They don't have really 'hot' summers.
