Ya lost me there. DMX/Jay-Z/Eminem/Cash Money was running shyt in 99-00..then Luda,Ja and Nelly the next year..The Roc and G-Unit had most of 02-04 with Lil Jon making noise too. That southern takeover shift didn't happen until late 05-06 when Jeezy/Wayne/TI were at their peaks of popularity and the ringtone rap movement took off.

Don't see anything wrong in comparing years; if anything, it helps put things in perspective. I think it is possible to put a year over another, but I see what you're saying.
