Show was pretty bad. Greeny has been trying to prove to everyone how he's not the stereotypical man for years. I can hardly handle the stream of self-deprecation, but as noted it's good background noise.
This was the only sports morning radio show where I'm at, so I always listened, more so for the guests. They are as cookie-cutter as they come. Thank god I got Satellite/XM so have way more options now, have barely tuned in since.

That's why I never understood paying them dudes millions. Seemed like a waste of funds as you could slot damn near anybody in that position for cheap and get the same show.

It was solid.. it was a no frills sports show... straight meat and potatoes... which was ok by me..... never really liked First Take because of the gimmicks and inflammatory topics..... and I can only take Lebatard in small doses

Actually, you can't... If that was the case, Greenberg wouldn't be transitioning into his own show for even a bigger salary? Using your logic, they can get a no name person, pay him peanuts, and garner the same ratings

Its not the bombastic normal crap you hear on sports radio, but they took no stance. It was boring and entertaining. I havent listened to Mike and Mike in like 15 years, so maybe its changed since.

I didn't like the show at all about 15 years ago.... but I guess listening to them on the drive to work over the last years, I grew an appreciation for their approach and the guests they brought on the show....

It's the platform. I hate biting Lebetard's points but there is a reason all these huge personalities that can't be replaced go elsewhere and falter while their replacements usually have nearly the same success. Just because Greenberg is being transitioned to his own show doesn't mean it's the proper move or a smart way to spend money.

Lebatard is talented, so I see why he'd toot his own horn on something like this....... and he's throwing darts at Skip, but content>> platform.... it may not start out that way, especially with a behemoth of a company like ESPN, but content always rules at the end of the day.... and it takes some talent to deliver quality, entertaining content...
I'm not white. I'm Dominican. I don't listen to the show for their political views. I listen because it's a local show that talks about my local teams. I wanna hear about my team by hosts that are also fans of the team. I don't give a fukk about 95% of other teams and I don't wanna hear about them.
I don't agree with everything they say but they're a million times better and more entertaining than mike and Mike. Plus they be going extra hard for their favorite players. Who happen to be black. And they the only ones I seen go hard into getting that Jackie Robinson museum open.
