This is why I'm convinced the lottery is rigged.

Cali has the most winners (biggest population)..and of course you cannot remain anonymous.

Texas has the 2nd largest population but big Powerball winners seem much more rare here....a state where you can claim winnings anonymously.

That's why they don't want folks to remain anonymous.

Keeps the game honest, I guess.

It's also a boon for lawyers, security/bodyguards etc....anyone tied to high net worth people.

If Jamal Smith wins a lump sum of $500M cash after taxes....and he's anonymous? Breh can do anything he wants. Being rich doesn't make you a target if no one knows you're rich.

Flip side....when everyone knows you got paid $$$$$, all of a sudden you need private security firms to monitor your house and provide services. You need lawyers to keep you from getting sued by every one-night stand you've ever had....the money you won becomes spread throughout the economy.

A person sitting on $500M, $700M liquid with complete anonymity is :banderas: :whoo:
