2 Cops Shot in San Diego (1 Dead)

San Diego police have one suspect in custody and are searching for other possible suspects still at large following a late-night shooting that left two officers wounded.

The shooting, which happened at approximately 11 p.m. Thursday, prompted a shelter-in-place for the area surrounding the 3800 block of Boston Avenue, the San Diego Police Department (SDPD) officials confirmed. The location is just west of where Interstate 15 and Interstate 5 meet, near Barrio Loganand Logan Heights, a few miles south of Downtown San Diego.



As of 12:50 a.m. Friday, police continue to search area surrounding the 3800 block of Boston with helicopters, SWAT vehicles and patrol cars.

The officers are being treated at Scripps Mercy Hospital. There is no update on their conditions.

The suspect, described as an Hispanic male, was caught near the scene of the shooting and was taken to the hospital for a gunshot wound, police said.
