20 years later, there still hasn't been a better Hip Hop album than The Chronic

I wouldn't say the best personally, but wouldn't flame someone else that thinks it is, because it deserves that level of respect. Most definitely a classic album that had impact.

You don't get it, audio quality isn't subjective so maybe you're confused with production quality. 'The Chronic' a modern marvel of music. It's a landmark for audio engineering. How you see Liquid Swords in the same discussion doesn't even make the least bit of sense in this context.

I didn't even list Liquid Swords :snoop:

No doubt one of the greatest albums of all time. I can listen to it to this day, and it still feels so fresh.

The one weakness on this album, to me, is Dre Day. The lyrics on this one do not age well. Talking about making Eazy suck your _ and gap teeth in your mouth and so forth.

I love that Warren G blew up in part because he said Deez Nuts. No other role on the album (other than maybe some ghost production work) and he was able to springboard off of it to a degree.

people mentioning some half-@$$ albums in here as goat status.

chronic
raising hell
paid in full
doggystyle
illmatic

cant go wrong with any of those 5 being the goat. and theres a handful of other albums that you can at least make a case for.
