I'm not really counting early 2000s because it was largely shyt outside of the Blueprint and maybe GRODT (although I hesitate to put that one in there because let's be real, 50 Cent and classic dont belong anywhere near the same sentence). But from 2004 onwards, there was so much great music. Late Registration and College Dropout were almost unquestionably Kanye's best albums. Food and Liquor and The Cool were solid classics. Those are a couple of examples just for starters but though nobody realized it at the time, mid to late 2000s was such an underrated era. If we're being honest, 2007-08 was an amazing time period for music
One thing I noticed about 2000s rap compared to 90s rap: it aged MUCH better. I dont care for the sound of 90s rap anymore, 2000s rap sounds like it could actually still be relevant in another 10 years
