Underwhelming indeed

I was weeded out the other day and heard this song. :laff:

Why does he sound like that? I tried not to laugh out loud in the wee hours in the morning listening to this shyt.

2005 had way too many people trying way too hard to make hits only for them to just sound shytty, plain comedy or just okay. Not great.

Another unintentionally funny song that was they tried to push as a hit

Can't forget about Mike Jones. Lol

I like Queens of the Stone Age though. That album wasn't bad. My memory isn't the best, so I had to look up what Hip Hop albums dropped that year. :picard: and you're right. It was pretty damn unremarkable. The Documentary was a dope album though, although it didn't age that well in hindsight. Common's Be record was good too though.

Late registration:ahh:

The documentary:smugdraper:

Be:smugdraper:

Tha Carter II:lawd::lawd:

Urban legend:blessed:

Plus lupe the goat fiasco dropped the Fahrenheit mixtape series:blessed::blessed:

05 was a great year for rap

Urban legend came out in late 2004.

Late registration was overrated back then and now no longer talked about compared to yeezys other albums

The documentary is a forgotten record

Be is the only album worth mentioning and maybe carter 2 but that's not even talked about like that compared to jeezys record.

But yeah that's all you remember from 05?

Nah, not worse than the last 5 years.

Hip Hop alone had dope releases from Kanye, Common, Beanie Sigel, DOOM, Blackalicious, Nujabes, One Be Lo, Blockhead, AZ...

R&B had MJB, Amerie, Faith, Tweet, Mariah, Kem, John Legend...
