Chryslers Street and Racing Technology (SRT) brand announced today the pricing for its two models of the 2013 SRT Viper. As a result, the 2013 SRT Viper will now carry a price tag of $97,395 (excluding $1,995 destination), while the 2013 SRT Viper GTS model will be priced from $120,395 (excluding $1,995 destination). For those who dont know, the SRT Viper GTS promises to offer more technologically advanced solutions such as two-mode active suspension in order to allow it to find new capabilities on the track while also opening up its envelope as a more premium and mature evolution of the classic, extreme performance formula.
The SRT Viper is powered by an all-aluminum, mid-front 8.4-liter V-10 engine delivering an impressive 640 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque. This makes the V10 engine the most torque of any naturally aspirated sports car engine in the world. Moreover, both the SRT Viper and SRT Viper GTS models offer new interior and exterior designs incorporating premium materials.
The exterior is impressive as the designers managed to integrate aerodynamically functional details into the high-tech carbon fiber and aluminum skin. These details produce a triple-digit weight reduction and a Viper best power-to-weight ratio. Regarding the interior, the designers and engineers strived to rethink all touch points. According to the official press release, the production of the 2013 SRT Viper will begin at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit the home for Viper since 1995 in November 2012, while dealer orders are expected to begin in mid-November 2012.
