For an album with no singles prior to its release date debuting at #1, breaking streaming records, going platinum, and selling out Madison Square Garden is impressive.

inb4 Sir Biatch shyts on me:

2014 Forest Hills Drive is an album that is so dense with storytelling and well layered production that it flows well as a concept album without relying on any skits. On top of that its an album with no features. This is a day where many rappers will have have an album with 17 songs and 13 of them will be laced with features or big names. So vocally, it is J. Cole's singing and rapping that carries this album all the way through Not a single record on this album is designed for the radio. The success this album has received breaks the rules of what a platinum artist is supposed to sound like, especially in today's current rap industry. J. Cole delivered a game changer with this album.

No, Cole has zero classics, and this is coming from someone who's bought all his albums. Matter of fact, it's not even his best album
