I say meek Mill first and foremost. He has been living off of that dreams nightmares intro for about 2 years

Dude has been incabable of making any noise with his songs or being featured on songs

Definitely Platinum Millz, also I'd say Wale that album last year came and went in like a week :heh:

AB-Soul needs to prove he's not the third wheel in Black Hippy :manny:

Big Sean needs drop some fire after Hall of Flop :mjlol:

I haven't really fvkked with 50 in a long time but I see the leaks for his new album has gathered some buzz, if he can keep that going and drop some REAL music or he's definitely done :camby:

That's the ones I could come up with off tops, I'd have to think longer for a more extensive list :ld:

The TDE supporting cast for one. Somebody else in that camp has to make a BIG splash or they will forever be known as Kendricks crew to the public at large. Kinda like how Young Buck, Banks, and Yayo got that stigma as being 50s former/henchmen. I love their sound so I hope they can figure it out. I don't think the Schoolboy album is going to make a big enough splash to warrant that. Jay Rock might have a chance given the right single or SZA.

50 Cent - I'm not worried about if his music will be good or not(only dikkriders that hopped off the bandwagon say he fell off when hes been dropping heat for the past few years now). But if that good music doesnt reach a wide audience and he fails to make a mainstream comeback.. its really over. Theres really no excuses since hes indy and everythings in his hands now.. no pushbacks or month early leaks this go round.. whatever happens will be a reflection of his relevance in 2014.

Meek Mill - D&N got thoroughly outshined by GKMC, Levels was a street hit but thats about it, DC3 came and went.. this year determines if he'll be a successful mainstream artist or a mixtape rapper
Everyone in TDE not named Kendrick or Q - We'll see who can stand up on their own like Q or who will be St. Lunatic status in 5 years:mjpls:
Future - Flopped single after flopped single and no release date in sight.. Young Thug on the rise and RHQ already took some of his placements on peoples hooks.. does he have that banger to turn it around?:lupe:
Lil Wayne - IANAHB only went gold after selling a milli in one week the previous album, stans made excuses like "bbb-but its only IANAHB.. the first one did those #'s too.. those are throwaway albums:sadcam:"(but failed to mention the first was initially a digtal only release and still went on to sell almost a milli unlike the sequel). C5 is supposedly his last album(doubt it) so I don't doubt he'll find a way to go platinum again.. but then again I do:mjpls:
Nicki Minaj - People got tired of her Black Gaga steeze and her last album underperformed so she went back to her essence starting last year with straight rap and no gimmicks.. we'll see if those barbs are still strong when the album drops or if the jig is up

I think Wale is in a good position. Bad was huge all year and his album was like top 7 in sales for hiphop

There's really no pressure on him for a big 2014

I forgot about Big Sean:snoop:

Hall of Fame did nothing to raise his profile

You might be right about Wale, from a commercial standpoint his album did really well, I was more so looking at it from a qualitative standpoint, IMO he had it in him last year to drop either GOTY type album or easily a top 5 album last year, and I don't think he dropped neither :manny:

I fukks with Meek but dude had an accidental hit with the intro from his album because of the beat switch and the energy

To date, that's his number one song to perform.

He has to make some serious noise this year because Wale has lapped him and Kendrick will on the fall

"levels" made noise, it was one of the most used words in black culture in 2013, it shoulda been pushed hard, but i guess the label was ready to release the album yet, it tore the streets and clubs up tho, never got that radio push tho

it was in the vein of "ima boss" and i think its better thb, the beat just bangs so hard

but any way i would say
krit- have to do something before he permanently underground
ab soul - same as krit
nipsey - music is great, but i think he could be much bigger, and if he dont jump fast its going to pass him by
gunplay - gotta dropping them trash mixtapes filled wit freestyles that not mixtapes and mastered
young scooter - jail set him back, shoulda be on the level as young thug alteast at this point
fat trel
lil reese
lil dirk
