Would yall trade up to grab Winston for the future? :mjcry:

that could set up the young offense for five years
I don't think so. We still got holes in the defensive line and we REALLY need a CB to replace Carr. I wouldn't be mad at it, but I think Romo has atleast 2 years left after this season. It would be smarter to use every asset on players that help us win now.
damn, even the fans are growing up

saving dessert till after ya done eating your vegetables :myman:

The Cowboys shouldn't move up to take James, but if he falls to them they DEFINITELY have to pick him.

So. Cal
time to give Jerry credit.

Our personnel department has killed it these last few years. The trade up to snatch Dez was risky but worth it. The Tyron Smith pick was really good, he's a cornerstone for years. People initially clowned the Frederick pick saying it was a reach, but he was a top 5 Center his first year in the league. The success of those two helped develop this years pick (Zack Martin) into a all-pro caliber player his rookie season. Fans were mad we took Martin over Manziel. lol. And the Romo contract seems genius at the level he is playing. That's crazy. In the last 5 years, the Cowboys have drafted at an elite level. Guys like Sean Lee, Anthony Hitchens, Terrence Williams, etc. flat out steals. Not only that, but we have signed decent free agents consistently and orchestrated some slick trades. Getting Rolando McClain for nothing was huge. I also gotta give credit to Jerry for sticking with Garrett. He's become a lot better and this whole coaching staff is pretty serious.

but still no playoff or super bowl wins :sas2:
