Didn't realize that, I've been too busy to read the release.
For the S3 as well? I'm surprised, they'll be retailing in the high 30s so its a bit of a steal at the end of the day haldex or not.
I've driven a TT and I think that is haldex and I didn't mind that.
I also drove a tdi sline A3 last winter as well which is fwd, they're so ridgid and stiff its hard to tell its fwd. The tdi was really overpowered for a fwd platform though imo.

Decisions, decisions...

The B8 is a great car but it's really too large.
My B5 I need to part ways with sooner than later at this point as well.

Audi and BMW

Werd, since this is based on the TT which is based on the Golf, they're going that route. I'm a bit of a label whore so if I'm buying an Audi, I'd like to have Quattro.

It is going to be a dope car though, I'm highly considering making the jump

what is the difference between haldex and Quattro

im still trying to figure that out i was reading a thread on audizine but i had a client come in and lost the page

I think there are components shared amongst the systems, but Haldex is for cars that are primarily FWD and it's more of a reactive system.

Quattro is on all of the time, and better suited as a whole. You usually have better mileage w/ a Haldex system but the purpose is that of AWD and it has some short comings the way it delivers power to certain ends of the car. It's not very even suited.

I guess it's not slip based anymore

HPA Motorsports Inc. - Big Brake Kits

Also the Veyron and Aventador use Haldex as well

The TT-RS did as well which is a monster from everything I've seen.
