2015 was the best year for rap music since...when?

2010? 2007?

I'm calling 2015 as one of those pivotal years in music where black consciousness rose up to the social strife taking place in society, a greater awareness was imbued in music and commercial interests took a backseat to just making great music catered to fans.

Oh...and the sheer number of QUALITY releases this year has been obscene

Although OP is a flamming Hindu fakkit. He right this year's been bananas. It's hard to believe the quality. Mixtape and album wise has been phenomenal. No one who we didn't already dislike dropped anything terrible.
