2016 Auburn Tigers football - Six Flags Edition

Not having a team thread has hurt our morale and lead to other fanbases trying to separate The Family. No more.

We've been here before. Been talking about this roller coaster for a minute. It's a make or break year for my boy Gus and we got one of, if not the hardest schedule in the nation next season.

I'm still optimistic given the level of talent and the coaching experience we have though.

Wk 1 - Clemson in JHS....I gotta go Auburn here. I think Malzahn comes out swinging and doesnt coach for the future. Man is trying to save his job out there. Defense is already there, I think the offensive line does enough, and we ride the running game with a competent passing performance from JF3 (under the auspices he continues improving until there). Score: 30-25 (I could easily see this going anyway)
Wk 2 - Ark State in JHS.....If JF3 didnt start in game 1, I expect him to get pretty much all the playing time in this game. Give him some real game time to ball. Score: 49-13
Wk 3 - TAMU in JHS...in this "rivalry", the road game has won every game since 2012.....that stops here. TAMU's defense still isn't where it needs to be to stop Auburn's running game and their DBs will be bbq chicken. They'll keep it close cause Sumlin's a bytch. Score: 32-20
Wk 4 - LSU in JHS....Imma point out one thing real quick

AUBURN GOT fukkING EMBARASSED BY THIS MOTHERfukkER. HE DROPPED 200 fukkING YARDS ON US BY HIMSELF. THE fukkING STEROID ABUSING HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUT LOOKING fukk nikka HAD A 60 YARD RUN THE FIRST fukkING PLAY. CARL LAWSON, MONTRAVIUS ADAMS, MARLON DAVIDSON, DONTAVIUS RUSSELL, REMEMBER THE fukkING DEFENISVE LINE. LES fakkit ASS GONE HAVE ONE FOOT OUT THE DOOR AFTER THIS bytch. Wk 5 - ULM Warhawks....homecoming game. Shouldn't be close Score: 56-11
Wk 6 - Miss State in Starkville. We aint losing 3 straight games to Miss St its simply not happening. Dak aint walking thru that door but Mullen might be walkin out of it after not bouncin with him. Team should be displaying alot more chemistry by this point btw. Im expecting the theme of this offense to have BEEN defined. Score: 32-15.



Very possible record at the halftime mark of 6-0. More realistic of 5-1, with LSU and Clemson being very iffy picks. JF3 being a competent passer means alot for the state of this team being labeled as a squad thats shooting for a championship or not.

But to be honest I'm not expecting much this year, that schedule with no proven quarterback and new DC, it's going to look rough for us
Gus really got exposed last year. Lashlee/ Gus play calling last year was trash
And our defense was so disappointing
I swear it seemed like we could never get off the field on third downs

Arguably the best offense in the nation and we're coming with a new DC it's not gone be pretty.

Malzahn can't win here without a dual threat. We had to take a loss to prove that shyt. With Marshall and Newton we had one of the top 2 or 3 offenses in the SEC every time. By all accounts, he'll likely roll out JF3 as starter. But Jeremy has been working on his movement all summer too. Plus you got Woody Barrett. Options.

Defense with Lawson last year didn't let a FBS opponent score 30. Alabama had 29 but they got a late ass touchdown that no one gave a shyt about, so whatever. If you combine an elite Malzahn offense with an improving defense that already was decent last year, you got a good combo.

The third down thing stems from having a piss poor pass rush. Also shouldn't be the case with a 9 man rotation.

Auburn was 7-6 with all but 1 loss being very close. Y'all acting like we some ass squad that was never competitive. All you need is one ball flip and we go from bottom to the top.

I'll be legitimately offended if we win sub 10 games. With more talent on defense than 90% of this conference, and two of the best receiver/RBs stables, there's no excuses
