Especially considering the fact that for any serious party, you need to craft a strategy that goes beyond established party members. Almost 35% of the eligible voter base does not vote at all. Because they aren't effected or because they believe politics is bullshyt. If you tell them "OMG the other side is worse' they tune you out. What are you saying that brings them out to vote for you?

This isn't exclusive to left of center voters. Kamala lost voters across the political spectrum. NY moved 10 points towards red because people in Long Island and Westchester stayed home.

Your political worldview is so blind that you can’t conceive of the possibility that if we move more left we’re going to make voters closer to the center more apathetic which doesn’t solve the problem just changes which side of the spectrum is disillusioned.


That’s why my political philosophy is the only sustainable way forward. The Democrats coalition is very large, disagreeing on various things economically and socially. That’s why there needs to be some form of pact between liberals and socialist that no matter who wins the primary both sides will fall in line and support the nominee.

The thing everyone (should) be able to agree on is healthcare. It should be the unifying thing we just relentlessly hammer home through 2026 and 2028.
