Even though I don't fukk with this era, there were at least smash hits in previous years.

Seems like everything has came and went this year.

I think it really might be over.

I feel like it’s been weak for music in general. And that’s because a lot of people dropped last year.

Cant say that a year that had 4:44 and Damn was weak but I think the peak of Soundcloud/mumble turn up rap sounding so different than whats usually in vogue might make older people feel like Hip Hop is more detached than what it used to be but there's still a lot of good stuff out there even if you gotta search it so much

What:hhh:?? 2017 was a very strong year. The only reason stuff sounded like it came and went is cause that's just where music consumption is at this point, along with people dropping their stuff out of no where instead of their being a build for it.
I think this is the reason people routinely drop "came and went" on this forum. In yesteryear an album will have a 16-week rollout with four months of adverts, interviews, singles, videos and marketing campaigns. The sheer anticipation for it will have guys expectant for the project and thus more tolerant of it when it comes out.

Nowadays I'm hearing two of my favourite artists Future and Thug drop an album 12 hours before it hits Apple Music. As a result I don't really care for it in any way, shape or form.
