I'm excited for this year's Tour.
Perhaps a lot of people don't care too much about it in the post-Lance years (at least in America) but it really is one of the toughest events in the world.

I used to think cycling was overrated since just about everyone can ride a bicycle. Until I took a spin class. I've never had my legs on fire like that in my life. Totally have a new respect and appreciation for what professional cyclists go through.

It starts on July 1 this year with time trials in Germany.

21 stages in 23 days.
A total of 3,500 kilometers (2,200 miles)

I kinda want a bike now.

I remember watching Froome a couple of years ago or maybe 3 years ago, and he was just fukking ridiculous. Took off like he had a motor attached to his bike or something, everybody else was so slow. :russ:

I would tip him as the next big doping scandal

They are supposed to be testing for that this year.

Not that I'm a big fan or know much about this sport, but that incident was the most dominant physical display I have seen in any sport since Usain Bolt started celebrating way before crossing the line at the 200 metre Olympics race :wow:

It made me think something was up given the history of bike racing :ehh:

Compare a spin class (glorified yoga class) to the Tour de France brehs :russ:
The comparison was correct.

What I said was that a spin class kicked my butt and was a lot harder than I imagined. And so someone who is a professional cyclist must be in tremendous shape because BY COMPARISON the Tour de France is exponentially harder.

What is the problem here?
