Per 2022 ACS estimates which were released on September 14. The ACS is sponsored by the US Census, and they release 1-year estimates every fall, from the previous year. So next year at this time we'll have their population estimates for 2023...
What I'm doing in this thread is first listing the non-Hispanic black population in each large city, and comparing that to what The Census told us our populations were in 2020...
Later in this thread I'm going to chart out the total black population in all these cities, which will include all people in these cities who identify as part-black. And I'm going to do the same for metro area...
