So theoretically an NBA team could draft a freshman with a pick and let him re-enroll in college and continue to develop? I know that's highly unlikely and would involve some sort of wink-wink deal but would it be allowed? Like for example the Lakers could have had Bronny go back to USC for another year or two if he and the school wanted

It already works like that with Hockey. You can draft and stash college players for 4 years, I don’t see a problem with them doing that in basketball too.
