I would imagine you know like I know social media amplifies what people pay attention to, people want to see car crashes.. So the stories of brothers doing well will not be highlighted as much as crashing out, going broke, or pump and dumping IG models.. There isnt much lane for brehs who made their wealth and just chilling. I can honestly say I dont know much in NBA arena other than business interactions in clubs back in day but born and raised in a football hotbed, I grew up with, played ball with, partied with, train with still til this day when I can and have family entering draft this year. I have seen many generations, these young brehs have a ton on counsel and way better prepared. Dudes are making major move$ in community, I see it everyday. Every player not crashing out thats just what social media amplifies.
Regardless if the ball game is like others these dudes are getting a kings ransom with insane exposure that allows them to be in many rooms to make all types of moves some brehs are making more money doing work now than before. I will highlight a breh from around the way just because it was put in publication but probably didnt make the rounds in "our" "media outlets".
Elvis Dumervil from lil haiti but played at Jackson, undersized player for his position so passed up by many colleges, made a way and GRIND. BALLED OUT in college, talking first team all american, Top dlineman award in nation, led nation in sacks, still wasnt drafted high because of size, STILL MADE A way in league and BALLED out. Being drafted in 4th round didnt get a top contract, had to put in work, for 2nd contract but in meantime him and his brother started doing things in miami with real estate, Im talking like in '07. Started small and moved to apartment buildings. This man got units all thru North Miami and 6 ave. You can ride around town and tell his work, gotta have close to 20 buildings with 100s of units going on thousands. Lets run it thru the KS High value list lol..
