Zeldin almost winning was actually a great thing for Trump because Zeldin did something Trump copied: he made it ok to campaign in the city. Zeldin ran on Trump shyt which was a nonstarter in the city, but otherwise he didn't run a terrible campaign. Now you factor in Hochul being an idiot who herself is alienating Black and Latinos, and it's gonna be back to the late 90s /early 00s when it seemed like things were on the up and up except minorities were on edge the entire time.We going back to the Pataki years , looking like we trending towards a republican governor soonstate might be fukked and I fear you're right about a nyc republican mayor
Adams messed it up for the next person, but Adams shouldn't have been nominated for mayor in the first place. Next couple of years, Republicans will return to the original plan of forcing as many poor people out as they can and turning NYC into a gated metropolis that only rich white people can enjoy.
