Purely hypothetical. Assuming Pete and Diaz are back. What's a better move? Trading for Tatis, free agent pitcher and trading for a Peralta tier pitcher or trade for a Skubal tier, free agent pitcher and Luis Robert tier outfielder.

I don't know how I'd approach this offseason if we bring back Pete and Diaz. Part of me feels like Pete's already gone tbh. I never felt this way all of last offseason. I know I don't want Tatis and that contract. I wouldn't mind signing Tucker.. but for 400+ mil? I'm good on that.
Yea Cohen's got infinite funds, but you've still gotta be smart in how you spend it. No more Montas type deals.
I'm not against putting a package together for Skubal.. but if that package is gonna be astronomical, (like is being rumored) then I know I said it a couple of weeks ago, and I was half joking.. but I'd rather put a ridiculous package together for Skenes. Not because I feel he's that much better than Skubal, but because Skubal can be had as a free agent, after this upcoming season. Tell me that type of splash isn't something that Cohen would like to make. I'd damn near gut the farm for Skenes. And Skubal would only cost us money.
I'm in the Bellinger camp. His versatility is just too good.
As for your hypothetical ... i couldn't even tell you bro. This offseason can go SO many ways. I'd be willing to bet that there's so many guys on the block that we have absolutely no idea about. Even more than normal with the looming lockout.
