This is about big corporations trying to force consumers (female in this case) to bow down to norms which they are creating to exploit them financially.

Stop it. Veet isn't dictating a damn thing. It merely personified a societal norm by making a funny commercial. It has never been acceptable for a woman to be hairy. M

Inaccurate. It has always been acceptable for women to keep their natural body hair. In a lot of countries it still is. The hair removal industry and the media have changed this norm in the West and specifically in America, the same way the cigarette industry changed the norm of women not smoking.

They don't care about your actual preference, it's about making money. This ad in particular is about bullying women into conforming to Veet's idea of beauty.
