I spoke to a guy that got busted in a drug case. He was facing 20 to life and ended up doing 18 months (first offense). His co-d's "told" on him but they told him that he should "snitch" on them too. So that's basically what they did, all plead out, told on each other and did 2-5 years.

He said the amount of "snitches" in the feds far outnumbered those who didn't it was just a thing everyone kept on the hush. In fact he said when he was waiting in county pretty much everyone in his pod was waiting to go do their "Rule 35" hearing.
