if you don’t have it, don’t go out. But $100 is the cost for a night out in general. Date or not. If I’m going out at night even with just my friends, I don’t think I spend anything less than $100. Appetizer, 2 drinks a entree and the tip is about $100.

Now that I think about it, the men saying they spend $100 average for a date, is actually doing good if he spent that for 2 people

Dating isn't the issue. They are already living above their means in every aspect of life from the new $1200 phone every year to uber eats all the time. as far as dating is concerned they can easily say "I'm on a budget" and do shyt like dates in the park, go to a museum for $15 per person or find a free event to attend. Chosing to spend 200 on food and drinks is chosing to live above your means if you don't have it

you make 50k and the cost of living is surging with wages stagnant. rent is 2k and the average car note in the US is above $600.

There's a mathematical problem here as far is being able to fukk off $100. and $100 is a cheap date. people are not making enough money for traditional dating in todays economy.
