House votes to legalize weed

The MORE Act is that bill: It would remove federal criminal penalties on marijuana, erase nonviolent federal marijuana criminal records, provide money for states to scrub marijuana criminal records, too, and create grant programs to assist those affected following the Controlled Substances Act becoming law in the Nixon era.

Vice President-elect Kamala Harris:troll: is the chief sponsor of the MORE Act in the Senate, and one gap between her and Biden is their stance on marijuana legalization.

While anti-legalization advocates see Biden’s stance as a win, the pro-weed crowd hopes Harris will go to bat for their issue should the White House act on criminal justice reform.

No one expects that passage in the House will shake the Republican-led Senate’s inaction on marijuana, however. McConnell has said he will not consider comprehensive marijuana legislation, and if Republicans retain control following the Georgia Senate runoff it appears unlikely the MORE Act would be raised in the Senate.

Legalizing weed should be part of the Democratic platform. Vast majority supports it at this point. Such an easy W they refuse to take.

lol whats funny is these medical programs are getting passed in red states, and the public (who voted for it) are mainly giving props to their republican governors and elected officials.

making this a left/right issue would only hurt us even though it's pretty much defaulted already

You're decades too late :mjlol:

Easiest win for the Dems is to make this a liberal/conservative issue - and to ensure they're on the legalization side. :unimpressed:
Edit: You cloud things later by asking for bipartisan goodwill - but you run to the media and ensure everyone thinks its a DNC idea with a few "centrist" GOP people on-board.
