nah. the difference with LAD is that biggie died right before the album came out. that and it was a part of bad boy's payola dominance.

meh. puffy admittedly followed a lot of hammer's blueprint.

Its not the only reason it sold but him dying right before the release had a major impact is what the poster was saying I believe. Which is true to an extent.would've sold crazy numbers regardless.

Bone been saying e.1999 is diamond but ruthless dont wanna pay for it to be certified.

yea, its one of the highest selling catalog albums.

its no way that they sold just 5 millie. I remember it being at 7 at one point, iirc.

eminem would like a word with u. ENCORE sold 5m. that shyt is insane. i dont care what color his skin is.

I don't think you understand. I singled out nelly's debut(when it first started selling) & bone thugs because their albums weren't promoted as well as the albums on the rest of the list.

and no, Eminem chit is not impressive.

i hate those double albums criteria. great albums but they should count as 1 to give a better reading of the biggest artists. eminem, won, love or hate his isht. respect to hammer.

in fairness, double albums back in the '90s were expensive. I don't particularly agree with counting them as 2 units, but in a perfect world, 1 1/2 units would be nice.

but those post-90s double albums were not expensive. they should just count as 1 sale. lol @ outkast being #1.:camby:

this is exactly what im saying.

@kingofnyc is just bitter because bad boy wasn't #1 on my list. you know how it is with some of these dudes. if youre not dikkriding their favorite artists, they view you as a hater.
