Talent doesn't mean squt. If it did, HousCandy.emphis wouldn't have beat 2 SEC teams, nor would OU have beaten the recruiting juggernaut in Tenn., who almost beat Bama.

Memphis beating Ole Miss is not the same as Houston beating sorry ass Vandy.

Suppose both Alabama and Ole Miss win out and the Rebels go on to win the SEC championship? Do you put in 2 SEC teams, one w/ 2 losses over an undefeated Big 12 team? The committee stay setting themselves up for controversy.

No if Ole Miss wins out they play in the SEC championship if they win it I don't think they get it but it could happen. Keep in mind they'll play Florida is the SECCG who blew them out earlier this year.

Strength of schedule matters. Anyone can roll over garbage teams. That shyt is not impressive. The committee got it right by putting a weak SOS Houston at 25.

Houston deserves to be higher than 25. At least 4-5 spots higher.

I just heard on the CFP show them talking about Memphis beating UH and Temple with their win over Ole Miss but what if UH beats Memphis. That won't be a quality win too. See becuz Memphis beat a top SEC team they get props but if UH knocks off Memphis they won't get the rub from Memphis they'll still say UH's SOS is nothing, UH was at home or Memphis wasn't as good as we thought.

What? Where you are at this point means shyt. These "rankings" aren't shyt but a bunch of men talking in a room. It's not like the BCS, where there were tangible rankings. Flawed, yes, but tangible. The way things work now, these guys could meet tomorrow and have a completely different order.

The only time these matter is when everybody has played all their games, and they pick for real. All this is now is a way for ESPN to sell ad space.

Becuz the SEC only gets up to play vs another SEC team. Anyone else they didn't wanna be there or played down to the competition. The SEC team lost the game the other team didn't win it.

If I were a Big 12 fan I'd be pissed I think that's who these first rankings probably affect the most. The margin for error in that conference is slim.
