I figure I'd start a book of the month thread for this section since I'm at a black owned bookstore. You can support the shop through the link in the sig or if you're in the DC area stop by we're at 2714 Georgia Ave. You can also simply go to your nearest Black owned bookstore and support them with your purchase.
Yes I know it's easy to use amazon, yes I know some of their prices are good, but that's not always the case. A prime example, Metu Neter Vol 1 costs $45.00 on amazon while it costs $29.95 where I'm at. So sometimes there's more than one advantage to buying Black. With that said, here's a few flicks I've taken of some titles we've got in stock here:
Along with that we've also got rare autographed books from authors such as Toni Morrison and Amiri Baraka. All of the proceeds go to fund a new film project on the maroon colonies by filmmaker Haile Gerima.
